Il testo, ermetico e a tratti impressionista recita così: “Clear smoke, and in this haze a night is deformed/Blue dawn rolling in/Coming deeper in you, a dark source in me and this is power” quasi a voler lasciare a noi la chiave interpretativa della traccia.

English translation by Laura Dainelli: Twenty-three minutes. This is enough to realize the fine work that we face. We’re talking about a band that comes from a land not accustomed to the limelight music nor the interested glances of the press: I mean Israel. After many internal upheavals, this band from Jerusalem is the squaring of the circle at the beginning of 2013 and put to work immediately to create the first-born of the production of the just created Ghost Flower , the EP Left . A beautiful post-modern artwork introduces us to the sounds of the opening track magnetic , Epiphanies, which begins softly to lead us to the central electrical explosion, a step of vital importance for every post-rock band that deserves respect. Right from the start the listener’s ears stand out vividly the intrusions of older siblings such as Explosions in the sky and Liam, presented not as a mere attempt to copy but as a product designed and thought from every point of view. It continues with a beautiful Cigarettes / Cacophony , arduous track to break up that makes its appearance in the singing of Yehonatan Sofrin, clean, polite and overwhelming especially in the tail piece from where great emphasis also on guitar by Yonatan Hazan , the true protagonist of Left . The text, tight and sometimes impressionistic reads: “Clear smoke , and haze in this night is deformed / Blue dawn rolling in / Coming deeper in you, in me and in this dark source is power “ as if to give us the interpretative key of the track. Webs traps us in a real network made up of guitar and drums (Gil Barkan) ranging from the most quiet and lashed bloated , always adhered to a low constant (Yuval Bahar) . Here, too, the lesson of the various Opeth, Tool and Mogwai seems to be well digested and made his own, leaving a breather. With Sand closing the EP, the attentions is still focused on the voice of Sofrin, that  this time tells us a romantic -impressionist idyll, in some ways more cautious and optimistic than the previous tracks and enriched by the work of Ben Kiriaty background on keyboards.
Left is a product that has left us  completely astonished and enchanted by its sound crisp and clean. A work that demonstrates the intention of the band to innovate without break away too much from the masters who have trained them and do not ever falling into the trap of mere imitation.

After this tasty appetizer, we all from Relics cannot wait to taste the main course, so for the moment the thumbs-up is a must.
